I totally agree, Lisa! I've refunded many requests because of this. I try to strongly word my Ethics page so I don't get orders that would likely compromise my standards, but once in a while...one slips through. :o)

Ethics are so important for the profession. What I find is that it's usually just a matter of a client not being aware...often, when I explain what Tarot is, and even more, what it isn't, we re-phrase their question, and can move on from there. This was a great reminder for me to get my own ethics page up on my website!

YAY! I find my Ethics page helps clarify what it is I do, why I do it, and what I WON'T do (or, legally, canNOT do). It can clear up many misunderstandings and misplaced expectations by having one up on our sites, IMO. (That is, if people take the time to read it!) :o)
