I am a firm believer that when the Magician card comes up in a reading, the Magician is all about manifestation. Manifesting your desires, your dreams, and your wishes. The Magician is not only about manifestation, but also of self-confidence. You must have confidence in order to attract what you desire. In other words, you must believe.
I didn’t start believing in my manifestation abilities until this year when I had gone on my life-changing trip to Louisiana. Now, I didn’t use magick or witchcraft. I simply just prayed and believed in getting my prayers answered by the universe. Of course, we co-created the manifestation of the prayers. I think when you try and manifest things in your life it’s 50% the universe and 50% you. You have to step out of your comfort zones. You have to do work on your part in order to make it come true.
The Magician card in the Rider-Waite tarot deck shows a man holding a candle in his receiving hand and all four symbols from the minor arcana lying on the table. This guy exudes confidence and believes in his craft. He imports his full potential into his spell. I think if we can think of it and find a way to make it happen, we can manifest it.
We not only manifest good things, but we can also attract negative things, too. If we firmly believe we are going to lose money, we probably will lose money. If we believe a spouse or significant other is going to leave us, he/she probably will. I believe there are some hidden subconscious things we do on our part to attract the negative. We may overspend our money. We may give in to our children’s desires and over spend on a purchase. We may nag a lover to death about the same insecurity over and over. You may also end up dumping the lover before it gets any better.
The universe is really a magical place. Sure, you may not see results as fast as other people do that manifest what they want. It may require time and patience – and that could be a lesson on your end. The Magician card says to believe, no matter how rough it gets or if nothing changes. Know that it will come true through Divine timing.
I really like the quote from The Fault In Our Stars by John Green – “the world is not a wish-granting factory.” I like it because it’s true, it’s not. You have to work at making your dreams, desires, and wishes happen. Manifesting can be magical when you work hard at what you want in life. I know I have manifestation ability as a few things have happened in my life since the Louisiana trip.
The first thing to happen that I manifested was that my parents come into some money. My mom and dad play the Michigan Lottery. They played the three and four digit lottery. Guess what? My mom and dad won $100 on the four digit. A week later, they went to the casino. You know what happened next? Not long after being there, my mom played a slot machine and hit for $1500!
The next thing I manifested for myself was to receive my first paid client since re-opening my tarot practice. On Tuesday, I gained a like on my Facebook page. Wednesday, I received an order for a reading! This took some action on my part. I spruced up my Etsy page, and I kept advertising my current special on my Facebook page. I then finally landed my first paid client.
Now I can’t take all the credit for my manifesting. This time, I reached out to a woman who has a Facebook group for her clients. I was a part of the secret group. She does full moon and new moon manifestation grids. A manifestation grid is basically a grid full of crystals, stones, and candles positioned in a certain Feng Shui way. She does these grids every new moon and full moon. She asks for members of the group to list one thing they would like to manifest. I asked to manifest money for my parents during the Full Moon grid. The New Moon, I asked for a paid client. But it wasn’t all magic, we co-created the manifestation. My parents played the lottery and went to the casino while I worked hard on my business.
So you see, The Magician card requires us to co-create what we desire on our journey. When he/she shows up, you can expect to work on manifesting! And you just may become an expert in becoming your own wish-granting factory.
